IFI Foundation along with partners hosts a week-long campaign on prevention and management of stroke around the World Stroke Day 2025.

Brain Stroke has emerged as a worrying public health challenge for individuals and governments alike across the world. This debilitating medical emergency is one of the leading causes of disability and mortality among all non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and its socio-economic impact is staggering. Statistics of World Stroke Organisation shows says that one in four adults are likely to experience a stroke in their lifetime. However, the good news is that this battle at hand is daunting but not impossible to win. WSO data implies about 90% of all strokes are linked to modifiable risk factors so there is a significant opportunity for intervention to considerably reduce the global burden of this silent killer.

A member of World Stroke Organisation, IFI Foundation (www.ifi.org.in), is working to create wide awareness on prevention and management of Brain Strokes. Since 2023, the foundation continues to run a comprehensive public health outreach campaign “Stroke Mukt Jeevan” (Stroke-Free Life) around the World Stroke Day on October 29 every year.

Aim of Campaign:

  • Generate public awareness about causes, symptoms, prevention and management of brain strokes.
  • Educate communities on importance of ActFAST, identifying the signs of stroke with prompt action for medical aid.
  • Encourage regular health check-ups, lifestyle management, and early diagnosis for stroke-free life.

Stroke Mukt Jeevan 2025:

Aligned with the 2025 theme “Every Minute Counts – #ActFAST,” this year, the foundation has significantly scaled up its efforts to educate communities on stroke prevention and management. Building on its successful Odia-language campaign in 2023 and 2024, the 2025 initiative has expanded to become a multi-lingual, pan-India effort.

IFI Foundation’s core partners, Swasthya Plus Network, South Asia’s leading multilingual digital health platform, and OdishaLIVE, a premier digital network are driving the expansion of the campaign.

Multi-Pronged Strategy:

The campaign, running from October 27 to 31, follows innovative strategies to create impact through robust digital content with targeted on-ground activation events.
