Health Information & Literacy
Making reliable health information accessible to every community, in every language.
Overview
Health literacy, the ability to access, understand, and act on health information, is a critical determinant of health outcomes. Across India, millions of people lack access to reliable, culturally relevant health content in their own languages, a gap that compounds existing health disparities.
IFI Foundation’s Health Information & Literacy programme works to narrow this gap through a year-round calendar of health awareness campaigns, digital content creation, and strategic partnerships. In collaboration with Swasthya Plus Network, we contribute to the production and distribution of health content across 20+ topics in multiple Indian languages, with a focus on communities where access to quality health information remains most limited.
