MH Day 2025
Menstrual Health & Hygiene
Working to normalise menstrual health conversations and close information gaps through multilingual content, institutional partnerships, and community engagement.
Overview
Menstruation remains one of the most stigmatised aspects of health in India. Millions of girls and women lack access to accurate information, safe hygiene products, and supportive environments. The resulting silence perpetuates myths, contributes to school absenteeism, and compounds preventable health complications.
IFI Foundation’s Menstrual Health & Hygiene programme addresses these information gaps through multilingual digital campaigns, creative content formats, on-ground events, expert-led discussions, and institutional partnerships. Our focus is on normalising conversations about menstrual health and improving access to reliable, culturally relevant information.
IFI Foundation is an active member of the Odisha Menstrual Health & Hygiene Alliance (OMHHA), a coalition of 20+ organisations including UN agencies, led by Aaina.
IFI Foundation is an official partner of the Global Menstrual Hygiene Day Campaign, reinforcing its commitment to menstrual health awareness and advocacy.

IFI Foundation is a partner in this initiative, contributing its content and campaign experience to the broader effort.
